This Labour Weekend, Voyager NZ Maritime Museum will host the Auckland Tall Ships Festival.
On Friday 25 October, it will be a magnificent spectacle as the eight ships arrive. Rounding North Head at approximately 2pm, they will be guided to their berths at Queens Princes and Hobson wharves around 3pm.
On Saturday at 10am, there will be a crew parade along the waterfront from Wynyard Quarter the Queens Wharf, where there will be an official powhiri(welcome).
On Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, the ships will be open to the public, so you can come aboard and meet the crew. There will also be a public expo with a great array of family activities at The Cloud. The fleet will depart on Monday at noon with a full naval salute from Orakei Wharf.
