Celebrate Auckland's 175th birthday with activities and entertainment for all ages amongst an inspiring selection of historic photographic displays, indoor and outdoor installations, markets, food and entertainment.
This event is also supported by a family of sponsors including ASB, Downer, Imersia, Oceania/Spyglass, Image Centre Group/Aaque Graphics, Ports of Auckland and RNZN.
Quay St will be closed to traffic from lower Albert Street to Commerce Street across the whole weekend.
HMNZS Otago Open Days
Saturday 24 January, 10am-4pm | Cooks Wharf
Sunday 25 January, 10am-3pm | Queens Wharf
This is a rare opportunity to get on board and explore on our navy's newer patrol vessels.
Family concert and fireworks
Sunday 25 January, 5.30pm-9.30pm (fireworks 9.30pm)
A highlight of the weekend will be Sunday evening’s free concert from the HMNZS Otago - berthed alongside Queens Wharf. Curated by Tama Waipara, a selection of bands will bring a local flavour to the celebration.
The concert will conclude at 9.30pm with a spectacular fireworks display from barges in the harbour and from the Sky Tower.
Please note: This is an alcohol-free event.
