Loy Krathong Festival The name could be translated as "to float a basket", and comes from the tradition of making krathong or buoyant, decorated baskets, which are then floated on a river. While the krathong's floating symbolizes letting go of all one's hatred, anger, and defilements. People sometime cut their fingernails or hair and placed the clippings on the krathong as a symbol of letting go of negative thoughts. However, many ordinary Thai use the krathong to thank the Goddess of Water.

งานลอยกระทง ปีนี้ได้จัดขึ้นที่ Kelston Comunity Centre งานเริ่มตั้งแต่ 4 โมงเย็น จนถึง 5 ทุ่ม โดยในงานจะมีกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ เช่น กิจกรรมการประกวด หนูน้อยลอยกระทง โดยมีเด็กอายุตั้งแต่ 5-9 ขวบ และอายุ 10 -13 ปี การประกวดชุดไทย การจับฉลากชิ่งรางวัลต่าง ๆ รวมถึง คาราโอเกะ รำวงเต้นรำ อื่น ๆ อีกมากมาย
ชวนกันแต่งชุดไทยไปร่วมงานกันเยอะ ๆ นะคะ ท่านอาจ มีสิทธิ์คว้ารางวัลชุดไทยดีเด่นมาครอบครอง
